This Saturday I ventured into the city to attend a much anticipated Holiday Market hosted by a familiar vendor in the wedding industry, Crown Flora Studio. This two day event showcases some of Toronto’s local handmade makers that specialize in uniuqely crafting textiles, knits, jewelry and soaps (to name a few), as well as spread cheer for the holidays!
These markets are a great way to bring people together to celebrate not only the holidays but to also celebrate small businesses and shopping locally. My favourite vendor at this event was Korinne Vader who handcrafts goods that “reflect the beautiful imperfection of nature and humankind”. From hand sewn clothing to ceramic accessories (which I bought!) her goods are timeless pieces created from a love for the homemade. Her booth at the holiday market was a huge hit among shoppers and I’m so glad I was able to support her small business!
